5 recipes everyone can make at home with mango butter


I was telling you here about the amazing ways you can improve your life with the help of mango butter. To convince you, I will add some DIY recipes with mango butter, so you won't need to run to the closest chemist in the middle of the night.



Recipe for Sunburn Treatment

With that in mind, here’s a recipe that can help you recover from sunburn (and other types of burn as well).

You’ll need:

· 2 tbsp mango butter

· 2 tsp aloe vera gel

· 3 drops sea buckthorn oil

· 3 drops peppermint essential oil

Melt the mango butter in a double boiler. Then, add the aloe gel and mix well. Add the sea buckthorn and peppermint oils and mix well. Place in the fridge for 15 minutes. Then, whip with a hand mixer until creamy.

You can use the resulting cream on sunburns or damaged skin. It has a shelf life of about 18 months when stored in a dark, cool, dry location.

A word of caution, though: if you are dealing with a severe burn, you should always seek proper medical attention first. From there, you can talk to your doctor about using natural skin care products to heal your burn.


Recipe for scar cream


Simply melt down 2 tbsp of mango butter and coconut oil in a double boiler. Once melted, you can stir in scar fighting essential oils like 7 drops of helichrysum oil, 7 drops of lavender oil and 4 drops of carrot seed oil. Now pour this mixture into a glass jar. Apply on your scars daily.


Recipe for skin healing cream and for eczema and psoriasis


Into a high speed blender, add ¼ cup of soft mango butter and ½ cup of soft coconut oil. Blend until you form a white creamy mixture. Store in a mason jar and use as a moisturizer and treatment for eczema and psoriasis.


Recipe for blemish balm


In a 4 oz jar, add 2 tbsp mango butter. Then add ½ tsp of rosehip oil, ¼ tsp vitamin E oil and mix up the ingredients using a popsicle stick. Add 3 drops of lavender oil and 3 drops of helichrysum oil as well for extra blemish healing powers. You can use this as a spot treatment or night time cream.


Recipe for fruit and flower hair cream


Melt ¼ cup of mango butter down in a double boiler. Once melted, stir in 1 tsp of avocado oil, 2 tsp of aloe vera gel and 10 drops of any of your favorite essential oils: geranium and lavender are great! Now pour the oils into a blender jar and keep it in the refrigerator for 15 minutes or at room temperature until it hardens up. When that happens, blend until you get a white creamy mixture. Store in a sterilized mason jar and use on damp hair as a moisturizer!
